Lucie Scarlett's Secret Garden

I recently made a wall hanging for Lucie Scarlett's nursery (Lucie is about 6 months old).

Lucie's lovely mum, Julie, supplied me with lots of leftover fabrics, ribbons, mementos and ideas from her wedding and some of these were incorporated into the finished piece. The 3D relief flowers are made with layered organza (I used a fine-tipped soldering iron to get the layers to bond together and then cut out the flower shapes). The stitching is done by both hand and machine and tiny beads look like seeds blowing in the wind.
